No idea as to the Processional or Recessional. I had work that evening so I was unable to attend. (I visited seven churches in the morning, following another long-standing tradition.)

Good Friday (1962)
St. Joseph, Greenwood

Full Gregorian chants for the two tracts. Pollen, having ravaged most of our choir, cut down the cantors for the prophecies, although Father was kind enough to allow Yours Truly to chant the first. Father was still feeling ill, so no sung Passion that day.

In place of Psalm 122 for the Communion -
Dubois, Adoramus Te [which, as a conclusion to his wonderful oratorio, I don't mind at all, but honestly; can't we learn the Palestrina for Good Friday?]

After the liturgy, a relic of the True Cross was presented for veneration of the faithful.

No vigil at Greenwood, and the Author was invited by the choir director of St. Stan's to join her and her family/choir. (Same thing, really - for those who have sung in a Trad choir, no explanation is necessary. For those who haven't, no explanation is possible.) This would be my second old-old Easter Vigil, and it hasn't ceased to impress:

FULLY CHANTED LESSONS. ALL TWELVE OF THEM. (The parish was blessed to have a few visiting seminarians from the Fraternity, so they had the manpower to do this. All politics aside - this made me giddy as a schoolboy.)

I did tell the last person who complained about something that petty, to "get your arse up there and do it yourself." I repeat as much as possible from the Easter Vigil on Easter Sunday morning. The choir is tired, I am tired, and we have limited time to learn new music with the demands of Holy Week.

I hope to post what we did later today. With all the music, plus home air conditioning problems and a plumbing leak, I have been busy this week. Plus WLP had printing issues and the new missalettes covering next week and the remainder of Easter season are already two or three weeks late. We should have had them nearly a month ago.

Well, I know, but at the Cathedral there were many who would attend both, so I had always done separate ones and felt a bit bad for repeating.

What was even worse about it is that—as we had not used the organ for all of Lent—I had completely forgotten to prepare anything for the recessional/postlude (same thing for us) and printed this off at church right before Mass to use. It's interesting how quickly one can get used to the way things are—just took 6 weeks for me to forget about it altogether!
