I should have added: I've given up on demanding that orchestras tune to A=435. So all recent recordings are cranked up about 12 cents higher than I'd prefer. Can only fight so many battles ....
Listened to it a couple of times. I really like it.
So far the Et exultatvit (No. 2) and the Suscepit Israel (No. 10) are my favourite movements. I especially like the quasi Klezmer feel of the obbligato violin and cor anglais in No 10.
Lol. I guess I could see Klezmer. #10 actually reminded me, a little uncomfortably, of Mozart's Canzonetta sull'Aria oops, no, "L'ho perduta", the Aria for Barbarina, from Le Nozze de Figaro, though I had no intention of imitating.
