A year by year, book by book history of the publishing of Gregorian chant, with links to dl/buy the books. VERY DETAILED.

    gregorianbooks.com

The guy put a lot of work into the page!

Too bad this post will probably sink like a stone.

    Thanks for posting. Really helpful!
  • Astounding! But By Flowing Waters: Chant for the Liturgy doesn't get a mention.

That's SUPER NEAT! I find it so inspiring when individuals put in a lot of work like that just because they are passionate about something worth being passionate about!
  • Dear Mr Paul F. Ford: apologize for forgetting your book. I added it to the list. Thanks for mentioning.
    Brick by brick...
    Regards.

If you write the guy (his email at the bottom of the page) he'll probably add it, maybe he hadn't heard of it.

@chonak I had tried to arrange for the hosting fees to be paid, through the schola at the FSSP in Reading U.K. where Jacques used to sing. The family were looking into paying the fees and keep the site up.

I see the site is down, due to the SSL certificate expiring.

The good news is that it archived on the Wayback Machine

I see a clone of the website may go online via facebook post... @MatthewRoth

It would be good to have an expert in webpages update the site into a more user friendly format and add the excellent recordings that @Verbum_Gloriae has posted recently.

Thanks. Can you tell whether the domain has expired, or when it will?

This is all I have, https://www.whois.com/whois/gregorianbooks.com I have not had to do anything to the backend of a website for at least a decade, and find I have forgotten how these things work.

    Good News, @MatthewRoth
It's back up - Jacques's brother, Laurence, has paid the subscription for a year and is happy during that period to hand over the reins to someone else.

Well, I've successfully mirrored the site and am undergoing a redesign process.... if Laurence would like to get in touch with me, I would be happy to transer the domain and cover any costs associated with that.

This part and all of the links here are inaccessible from the homepage. Jacques had taken over providing access to a project on the breviary which I consult regularly so I would like it to stay active as well.
