I am looking for a resource that may not exist, and figured this was the place to ask. Is there a searchable database anywhere that lists all the scripture references (both readings and propers) for the whole liturgical year? I know most music publishers have features for filtering music by scripture references, but I need essentially the reverse of that. The closest I've been able to find so far is the lectionary on catholic-resources.org, though it doesn't list the propers. Example: I want to program Stainer's God So Loved the World at some point this year, ideally when John 3:16-17 shows up during the liturgy. I have stooped to asking Ch*tGPT, but even that isn't reliable, considering that when I tested it, it missed the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. So much for artificial intelligence.
Anyways, if anyone knows of such a resource (even a physical book as long as it is indexed and searchable) I would be most grateful!
See the attached .xlsx file for a database of all readings and propers for Sundays and feasts that can replace a Sunday, which I extracted from a larger database I have. There’s a downside, however: it’s in Dutch…
The readings for the Easter Vigil are not complete (they didn’t fit in the file’s structure). The readings for All Souls are the particular choice of the publisher I work for. Of the propers, only the Introit, Gradual, Alleleuia/Tract, Offertory and Communion are given; antiphons didn’t fit in the file’s structure either.
Here's a spreadsheet I made that has all the Propers. It is mostly a personal general planning sheet but there is a tab at the bottom with all the texts. It does not have readings.
