Hymn appropriate for the theme of humility and after Minneapolis...

We sang this hymn at communion today to TALLIS CANON (for familiarity and beauty)... I thought it was particularly appropriate after the killing of the children at the Holy Sacrifice in Minneapolis and given the theme of humility in the pericopes today (22nd Sunday C). It was so beautiful and moving, so I thought I'd share.

I wish Musica Sacra would allow attaching musescore files.

    Thank you for sharing!

We were able to include the Fauré Pie Jesu, and sang ‘Abide with me’ as the recessional hymn. I was conscious with the organ lit as well — O Mensch bewein and Brahms’ O wie selig.

We did All Ye Who Seek a Comfort Sure which felt particularly fitting. It specifically mentions the Sacred Heart of Christ forgiving His murderers from the cross.

K9mjm, your posted score is missing a whole column of lyrics. (FYI)

With the DUMdeeDUM of TALLIS CANON I stumble at "Our lips have learned like vows to make", which goes a little better with ALSTONE or WAREHAM.

In the chant line, Da pacem Domine, seemed a good choice. Here is the two-part version we did.
