    If you're in striking distance of the East San Francisco Bay, we're singing polyphony and plainchants by Dufay next Tuesday evening at 7:00, August 5th. Here's my first draft of program notes; sharp eyes are very welcome!

    A tiny but appreciative audience; maybe next year will get word of mouth. It was audacious to do this on 4 rehearsals, and there's a lot still to discover in the Missa, a really magnificent piece that my program note doesn't begin to do justice.

    Of course there's also Dufay's Nov. 27 commemoration…

    Some 'traditions' begin with a small corps of appreciatives. Perhaps word of mouth will stimulate growth. All the same, God was duly praised and people were aedified. We look forward to your next offering.
