Rev. Canticle: Salus et gloria...
  • Hi - does anyone have an accompaniment to the Sunday second vespers canticle as found in the AR II?
There is one setting for Sundays I + III, and a second setting for Sundays II + IV.
I'm only looking for those specific chants, not other settings, thank you.
    I'd be deeply grateful.
  • AR?
I don't have it, because I don't know what AR is.

Antiphonale Romanum II, sometimes referred to as the Vesperale: https://forum.musicasacra.com/forum/discussion/3215/antiphonale-romanum-ii/p1

@maestrodicapella I expect no published accompaniment exists, since the book itself is so recent.

The melody for Sundays I & III seems to be related to the tone used for short responsories in Eastertide. The Liber cantualis comitante organo has accompaniments for three such responsories (Ascendit Deus, Spiritus Paraclitus, Surrexit Dominus vere). It might be possible to adapt these for the Revelations Canticle.

I don't know the provenance of the melody for Sundays II & IV, or if a published accompaniment exists.
