Does anyone know if there are any editions of Ambrosian chant online?
Also, if any Ambrosian chant scholars or enthusiasts might be able to refer me to some good scholarly articles on Ambrosian chant, particularly in regard to the differences between the Ambrosian Ingressa and the Roman Introit I would be most grateful.
Thank you in advance.
Are there any Ambrosian chant scholars on the forum?
Thank you, Kathy. I admire Vianini's youtube recordings, and guessed that he might be the source to go to. Have you deciphered if he has posted a complete Graduale anywhere?
Is this the page you're looking for? With principal categories across the top, and secondary categories on the left-hand margin, there's a huge body of music ("spartiti") here...
I did come across that one already (thanks to Protasius & Adam Bartlett's links) and the large books are really fun reading (this helps make sense of them).
I'm still looking for a way to repair dead links from CPDL though, like these.
I have some of those chants... after Easter I could put them on line and you could link to them. I have set them to the Ambrosian Vesperale, this sometimes has melodies different from those used by Viannini.
Also I recall there is another site not linked above will have a look!
EDIT Good news, after a search I found this, the old site archived!
