    @BluePhantom

I am using an old computer and browser which does not seem to work with the site. Have you tried the Chrome browser? Also it might be a fault on the computer that runs the processing of the code...

    Paging @bbloomf ...

    Also, try here: http://bbloomf.github.io/jgabc

It appears it's moved over there.
  • The preview appears in the browser just fine, but there is no selection in the "Include in PDF" options for the Mass:image

As such, I don't think the processing is picking up the Mass chants.

Yes, I noticed this too, several weeks ago. It used to work fine for me, but no longer works, at least in Firefox version 23.0.1. Dropdown selections are all empty.

It does work in a relatively recent chrome build.

Chrome is really a poor excuse for a browser. I have to do a lot of internet searching as part of my job. Many websites that work really well with Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari just don't work correctly with Chrome.

    Really? In what way?

I honestly have never noticed that, and I'm a web developer...

And IE? It's literally the worst. Not even an exaggeration. It's actually the worst ever.

@BluePhantom I just put up a new version that will put the inline Mass ordinary in the PDF

  • Wow, this is the cat's pajamas. Thank you so much for making this.

The only other feature I could think of, that's certainly not necessary, would be a button to download recordings of the propers? <:) Not that it would do more than save me 2 minutes each week of downloading them manually from CCW...<br />
Again though, this tool is clutch. Many many thanks.

A colleague noticed a problem... While producing a psalm tone version the notes for the Amen. are in the wrong place, perhaps due to the clef moving!

Try Edge, it's even worse. Have not had good luck with it at all.

  • This is brilliant!

I don't suppose anyone has written the GABC codes for all the ICEL chants in the Missal as well? It would be useful to be able to generate for pages of different sizes - thus far, I've been 'splicing and dicing' the excellent PDF of 'neumed' ICEL chants produced by the CMAA a few years ago...

I believe Aristotle Esguerra used Gregorio for a booklet when the new edition of the Missal came out, so he probably has many of the chants transcribed into GABC already.
  • Would it be possible to generate a PDF not from a form like
    http://bbloomf.github.io/jgabc/propers.html
but from a program (I am using php)
    something like
    http://bbloomf.github.io/jgabc/my_parameters.xml
    or anything similar ?
This would be great for my site: http://gregorien.info
  • @messige Well, you could post the GABC and other parameters to http://apps.illuminarepublications.com/gregorio/process.php in the same manner as that Propers page does when clicking the PDF link at the upper right, and that would return a PDF.

In addition, another web site offering Gregorio processing is at
http://gregorio.gabrielmass.com ; the last time I checked, this site has a more recent edition of the Gregorio software, and a different selection of fonts.

Is there a way to produce a pdf with each movement on one continuous page? I am using PDF Expert on iPad... page turns aren't necessary, and any length is fine. However, I want to divide movements into separate pdf files... or actually separate pdf pages within one pdf file.
  • @francis there's not a really easy way to do it, but you could keep everything set to starting a new page, and then click "Further PDF Options" and set "cropped" on, and set the page height to something really large like 30 inches, and then "Gregorio PDF" to produce a PDF with each movement on its own page. You would then need to find a way to split each page of the resulting PDF into its own file.

I use pdfEdit995 - which is available as a free download.

how do you keep everything set to start a new page
  • @francis Oh, click the paper icon to the right of "Propers" at the top of the "Include in PDF" menu in the upper right. If the paper icon is black, it means that section will start on a new page, and clicking the one next to propers will toggle all of those icons at once.
