Introit for Institution of Lectors, Acolytes

    On Monday, November 19, 2012 at St. Mary's Seminary, our Second Year Theologians were instituted as Acolytes.

    I am attaching the Entrance Antiphon (Introit) that I composed for the occasion.
    It is a metrical/harmonic/polyphonic setting of the antiphon text provided by the revised Roman Missal for the Mass "For Ministers of the Church".

    I also supplied verses from Psalm 66 (Revised Grail) set to a Gregorian Tone, in order to offer some contrast.

    This particular antiphon may be used for both the Institution of Acolytes and the Institution of Lectors.
