St. Joseph Church, Osceola WI and Assumption of the B.V.M., East Farmington WI. Two smaller but growing Catholic parishes, approx. an hour's drive NE of St. Paul MN in the beautiful St. Croix River valley of the Diocese of Superior, seek to engage a Director of Music on a part-time basis (ca. 10 hrs/week). As organist and choirmaster, the DM will work with the recently-assigned priest to begin the introduction of liturgical music, chant, and classical choral repertoire. Will be responsible for developing the existing singers and promoting their growth, and accompanying and directing them for normally one weekly combined practice and two Sunday morning Masses (Ordinary Form) (one at each church, six miles apart). The priest is a CMAA member, celebrates in both OF and EF, and a former member of the Twin Cities Catholic Chorale. Compensation range 12-15k, negotiable based on experience.
