"From ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggedy beasties and things that go bump in the night, Good Lord, deliver us!"
(And from posters who can't remember to do this reminder on time.)
The weekend after this novena concludes could be a mini "dress rehearsal" for those of us in these vineyards. It is the opportunity to provide for important liturgical events which happen in a short amount of time, similar to what we experience at Christmas. It could be a gauge of how well our preparation for the past two months had been.
As the Church Militant prepares to honor the Church Triumphant and the Church Suffering on our way to the end of the liturgical year, let us lift up our voices and help to lift up hearts and souls in our worship. May we remember those who have gone before us as they have hopefully joined the choirs of angels. May our voices on earth blend with theirs in heaven.
This is an invitation to pray a novena with other CMAA members from Thursday, October 22 to Friday, October 30 inclusive.
Do join in; even limited daily prayer (Our Father, Hall Mary, Glory Be, Saint Cecilia pray for us) is welcome!
Attachments for the spoken and chanted forms of the litany are provided.
