First, I have a friend who composes sacred and liturgical music. She recently had a Mass that she composed professionally engraved for use in the Novus Ordo and Trad. rites. It is a mix of polyphony and monody --- she would like to make it available for liturgical use - at no cost - to capable choirs who sing beautifully and for love of the liturgy. How can she get this out?
Second, she also composed a Mass for concert use, entitled 'The Mass of the New Creation'. It is written for a full choir - 40-50 people minimum, and also employs some strings and timpani with very simple instrumentation. The entire work is no more than 12 minutes, and is a deep and powerful expression of our faith in our Crucified and Risen Lord, and the expectation of the parousia, when all things will be made new, and God will be All in all. How can she get this to fine choirs/choral groups and choral conductors who might consider performing this work? She has no connections to any professional conductors or fine choral groups. She received a bachelor's degree in violin performance several decades ago at Eastman School of Music and since then, has been composing sacred music.
