Hey yall. So basically im looking for music that one can easily listen to for contemplation during rosary prayer. Ive listened into the Rosenkranzsonaten from Biber before but tbh that style of music is just mentally stuck in its respective era for me (i.e. Whenever i hear it, all i cant think of is some courtly setting of that time.). I have a little playlist of Music that i so far used. Would be glad for further suggestions. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtcoCdmqpDctf933ili0IpuHtJRTS590h
Basically it ought to not have lyrics and reflect the general mood of the corresponding set of mysteries. E.g. a mystical/joyful mood for the joyful mysteries, dreadfull/sorrowfull for the sorrowfull mysteries and a Triumphant/Happy end vibe for the glorious mysteries.
Alternatively do please mention what you personally listen to while praying the rosary.
@Chris Garton-Zavesky Maybe you havent found the right music? I cant focus with too complex pieces or with lyrics either. But yesterday i had a rather sweet ,somewhat mystical piece playing, that evoked in me imagery of a calm and beautiful garden, hidden underneath shades, pierced by warm sun rays every now and then. In Context of the glorious mysteries, it made me think of the risen Christ, whom Mary thought to be a gardener at first. And from there how Christ, the true custodian of the world, the fullfilled adam, toiled in the fields of the church and worked to bring about good fruit in us. The picture developed quite further from there, hence i see great potential in those pieces of music which can give flight to the mind in the right way.
