I'm a little late to this discussion, but there is Archbishop Ionafan's Liturgy of Peace, with texts from the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom set to Gregorian chant meoldies. How often it's actually performed liturgically, I can't say. As for pieces actually sung in Latin, I think that would be a no-go.Has anyone ever witnessed Byzantine liturgy featuring some of the great musical pieces (be it chant, polyphony or whatever) of the Roman tradition? I haven't. They just don't do this, and rightly so.
