    Well, was it? The more I study and read and learn the more confused I get. There are so many opinions, ideas, perceived rights and wrongs that it seems impossible to know what is truth.

    Perhaps a reform which leaves open so many doors must be inherently flawed...? How can there be so many ideas/answers/differences/rights/wrongs?

    You're not alone in thinking that, it's the natural conclusion of the reform of the reform.

    If the Catholic Church was a business... or run in a similar way to those illustrated by our Lord's parables.

    We could check how the new formula was doing...
    Mass attendance
    Baptisms
    Marriages
    Vocations to the religious life
    Number of new churches, schools, etc.

    So have these increased, therefore the new formula is a success, stayed the same... (so no preference) or decreased... new formula needs to be changed or return to old formula.
