Are we moving on to appetizers? Croodites, that is.
  • Now, Charles!
I hate to be a prood, but there is no need to introod food into this.

I assume there will not also be a Pulpitum Screen. But not to be quite so ab-surd and require Pythagorean tuning, (as a mathematics type) I'd be most happy to see "this Quire Rood" when it is installed.
  • I'll certainly post pictures of it here when it has been constructed.
Until that happens, we all have something nice to brood upon.

  • Jackson, if the rood beam has to come down to facilitate the rood screen, can some one take some close-up photos of the Cross I made? Unfortunately, I don't have any from the construction.

  • Steve, I'll certainly mention this to appropriate folk. Our friend Margaret Pichon will undoubtedly be taking pictures of this event.
The rood beam will, indeed, come down. The rood will be incorporated into the central arch of the screen. I'm sure the plan is to utilise our current rood figures, which are good polychromed wood, about three-quarter life size.

(With your inordinate love of punnery, I expected you to make a contribution to our above offerings. There is an official term for lovers of punnery, but I can't at this moment recollect it.)

  • I can certainly help out with the punnery. Gladly, the cross-eyed bear!
