So it seems Jan. 11, the Baptism of the Lord, now marks the end of the Christmas period for the Vatican.
2015: Every year on February 2, the Vatican takes down its official Christmas Tree and Nativity Scene. This tradition marks the Feast of the the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple.
After standing tall by the side of the obelisk, the white fir tree brought from Calabria will now be used to make wooden toys for needy children.
