Dedication of a Church

    Question comes to me

    Dear Mr. Tucker,

    Any idea on where I might download the Preface for the Dedication of a Church from the 1962 Missale Romanum with chant notation? I will be celebrating a Missa Cantata this Sunday and would like to use the proper preface but can not find it anywhere with chant notation. If I can't find it, I know I can use the Preface of the Holy Trinity, but the Dedication preface is magnificent and I would prefer it. Thanks for any help you can provide and God bless.

    I doubt that there is a Proper Preface for it.

    Uh....yeah....better forget what I said earlier.

    I misread the post: I thought you were asking for the Preface for the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica.

    Sorry: I'm an idiot.

    By the way, I hear that the Preface for a dedication of a Church was not in the 1961 Missal, but was added in 1962. Just FYI.

    the only Missal of large size I have is the 64/65. I've thought about putting it up but I'm not sure what good it would do.
