    I'm looking for the English translation of the Sequences for Corpus Christi and Pentecost in modern notation. Is there such a thing that is well done? I have two which are quite awful!

    I found a version of the Lauda Sion set to the tune of Pange Lingua. I passed it out to the congregation last year and divided the verses up between choir, men, women, all. It was very effective.

    Fr. Weber has some nice sequences on the St. Louis site. I am using one of his for Pentecost.

    "The Complete English Propers" from 1964 has these sequences in the translations currently in the lectionary set to the traditional tunes. You'll find "Veni Sancte Spiritus" on page 77 (p. 93 of the pdf) and "Lauda Sion" on p. 83 (p. 99 pf the pdf).

    It appears that Fr. Weber's settings of these sequences are identical to the ones in this book, and though Fr. Weber supplies accompaniment it is more difficult for the melody to be read by the singers.
