Understanding Weber's Psalm Setting

Hey all,
I feel like this is a stupid question but my brain has apparently gone AWOL. I'm looking at Psalm V for Easter Vigil, setting by Fr. Weber, and I can't figure out how the pointed verses are supposed to line up with the music. http://musicasacra.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/EasterVigilRespPs..pdf Some help, please? -
It's easier to show than to tell. The attached PDF shows how the first verse works with the tone. The "/" mark in the fourth line I take to be a kind of "flex," i.e., a slight pause in the chant.Thanked by 1BachLover2
