Graduale Romanum in gabc

    Greetings,

    I have finished transcribing the 1961 Solesmes edition of the Graduale Romanum into gabc. I'm still proofreading them, but I'm putting them here for anyone who wants them. I intend to provide 1908 Vatican Edition versions of the same Chants.

    Would it be possible to upload your attachments to a server somewhere? They always get broken when you put them as attachments. Few people will be able to use them like this...

    Wow… this seems like a monumental effort! Very impressive!

    For those of us who haven't quite made it to the world of Tex — and who are doing GABC via the Gregorio interface instead — is there any way that you might recommend handling the .gabc files? Importing those files into Microsoft Word seems to yield a lot of funny characters.

    gabc files (like TeX files) are simply text (.txt) files. I edit such files in Notepad, not Word (nor Wordpad).

    For txt editing that is slightly more robust than notepad- try Notepad++.

    Any suggestions for a non-Word text editor for Mac, aside from TextEdit?

    bbedit is one of the best text editors for mac

    for Mark M: Are you able to view the individual files at this link?

    If so, you can at least copy and paste the .gabc code into TextEdit or whatever.

    chonak: Yes, I discovered that earlier today! Thankfully, going directly to the individual files online (rather than downloading the whole thing as a zipped file) does not seem to yield funny mathematics characters. :)
