    Gregorian propers (schola)
    Byrd's Mass for Five voices
    Credo III
    Cifra Ave Rex Noster
    Aichinger O Jesu Rex
    Salve Regina (simple)
To Jesus Christ our sovereign king (Marier harmonization)

    Vespers:

    Chant office

O Salutaris & Tantum ergo, Roman chant from Corpus Christi
    Divine Praises (Maredsous)
Adoremus with verses of ps 116 in chant and falsobordone of Asola
Sing my soul his wondrous love (DIX; I wrote an additional strophe inspired by the psalm used for the gradual to make it fit).
  • Sing my soul his wondrous love

To each their own, but some of us think that St. Bee's in the bees knees. Choirs like Rorem.

So I started reading the text and then got a tune in my head but ran out of words. I gave ST BEES a chance but ultimately a tune with a less common meter had to be really worthwhile to make my list if it can’t easily be reused…and there are not many hymns for the feast as it is: they also need to learn DIX (you’d think that they’d know one or the other texts but a) we had a very limited repertoire until the last year b) if they didn’t grow up Catholic or Episcopalian or otherwise mainline…uh…)

    Asperges mode 7
    Propers of All Saints
    Missa O quam gloriosum, Victoria
    Credo III
    Justorum animae, Byrd
    O quam gloriosum, Victoria
    Salve Regina
For all the saints, SINE NOMINE

    Vespers:

    Chant antiphons and psalms
Asola falsobordone for the hymn, to use the modern Roman tone (and for a gross lack of time: otherwise we’d have done the Victoria through-composed version)
Victoria Magnificat sexti Toni, odd verses SAT(T)B.
    Deo gratias, Byrd
    O Salutaris, Anerio
    Tantum ergo, chant mode III
    Divine Praises, Maredsous tone
Benedicam Dominum, Croce (y’all don’t be sleeping on Aristotle’s editions: at the very least it’s stuff that I know can be done with a very wide range of forces)
Who are these like stars appearing, ALL SAINTS

November at Sacred Heart. All Saints today was one of the high water marks of our music program - almost 50 musicians in the loft and nearly 300 total in the congregation. (Bishop made a surprise visit, too!) Solemn Salve on Last Sunday After Pentecost may be replaced with the Schubert setting, we'll see!
