Today I heard a story about the panic hitting a guest choir accompanist in a church. During the interval, he was due to perform a recital on the magnificent organ. However, when he went to the organ loft he couldn’t switch the organ on, due to there being a ‘secret button’. Through a total coincidence, the choral director's wife was on her Instagram account at the same time, and an organist contact of hers from Galway, Ireland, saw she was in Norwich, UK, and mentioned the ‘secret button’ on the organ – which was passed on and with a few moments to spare, he was able to switch on the organ and perform the stunning solo.

TBH, as glad as I am that it worked out ok, it's odd to me that the performer clearly had not had an opportunity to prepare said recital. If they didn't know how to turn it on, then I rather doubt they had been at the instrument before the "recital" to prepare anything.
