The Opportunity: Build an exceptional bridge between your collegiate vocal study and professional-level choral work through a Choral Scholars Residency for college vocalists. Develop skills, expand your resume, and sing in an elite, supportive environment alongside professional musicians, and dedicated volunteers.

Position Options & Financial Benefits
Paid Section Leaders: Dedicated per-Mass stipends are available for top, advanced collegiate singers and strong sight-readers ready to anchor a section.

Choral Residency Training (with Travel Stipend): Developing student vocalists who are reliable team players can secure a travel stipend while gaining elite choral/vocal training and networking.

Soloist & Cantor Training:
Gain advanced coaching in solo performance, liturgical style, breath control, and professional Cantor work.

Professional Benefits & Mentorship
International-Caliber Direction: Work under the baton of Director Lisa Nadig (M.Mus., B.Mus., DePaul University), a former university voice professor with professional singing experience at an international level and extensive leadership across top Catholic cathedrals.

Dedicated Collaborators: Perform alongside a professional staff accompanist and professional guest instrumentalists brought in for major liturgical highlights.

Schedule & Expectations
Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings from 5:30 PM – 7 PM at Holy Cross Church, Stockton, IL
Performances: The Full Choir & Chamber ensemble each sing one Sunday per month.
Culture & Community: A highly collegial, positive, professional choir culture and reverent Music Ministry.

*Must be Diocese of Rockford Safe Environment compliant, including current VIRTUS® Protecting God's Children® certification and background check.
