Relevant Gregorian Chant titles/books/supplements that are public domain and safe to reproduce
  • I'm a small-time publisher in the Philippines and I was wondering about the discussion title above if there are such. It's quite expensive to purchase copies in the US and Europe and have them shipped all the way to the Philippines. I was hoping if ever there were some titles (that DO have an existing copyright) I could ask for permission of reproduction.

    Many thanks for your help!

CMAA's anthology, "The Parish Book of Chant", is under copyright, but it is available under a published "Creative Commons" license that lets anyone reprint it, whole or in part, with no fees and no other permission required. The only obligation is that you preserve the original attribution of the book, its copyright notice, and its Creative Commons license notice, by including this information on the copyright page of your edition:

    The Parish Book of Chant
    Edited by Richard Rice
Copyright 2012, Church Music Association of America
Reprinted under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license

And we would recommend that you include a link to our website
    https://churchmusicassociation.org/pbc0/
where people can find demonstration recordings of every piece in the book.
