Collection of Short Fanfares?

    Afternoon,

I am in the habit of playing something fanfare-esque as the gospel procession returns to the chancel. Do any of you know of a collection of (simple, brief) fanfares that might suit these purposes? I mostly improvise currently, but my improv is not as good as a composed piece and I'd like some to fall back on every here and there. Yes, I've already nabbed a good few off of imslp. Thanks!

I know Paul Fey has written many fanfares, and some are quite fun. He sells the music, but I think he has videos of most of them on YouTube that you could listen to first to see if it strikes your fancy.

Also, if you'd be willing to share the names of any particularly good (and particularly easy) ones that you've found on impls, I'd be interested. I love fanfare type pieces, they seem the ideal style for our processions at the start of Mass and Vespers (which are always short anyway).

David Barton has a nice collection called Five Fanfares.

Here's my recording of the Jubilant Fanfare: https://youtu.be/coKVeVCaLak?si=XpK4j7KYKB6mnNBL

Fagus Music appears to still carry it: http://fagus-music.com/composers/db.htm

Charles Ore, but make sure you pick out a few stopping points.

Check with George Butterfield at Organ Stop in San Diego. He has a large selection of used scores. The condition of the scores is accurately accessed.

OMagnum, there are some pretty straightforward fanfares by Babou throughout his livre d'orgue on IMSLP. You won't be able to find them with a normal search because of how they're located within the scores, but they're in there. I've also used excerpts from some Spanish Batallas, particularly those of Cabezon. Pinkevicius has an easy fanfare or two out there as well if you want to pay a few bucks.

    Flor Peeters:
    Thirty-Five Miniatures for Organ.
    Sixty Short Pieces.
His Sorties are all sectional, and the first statement of some would work very well. They are often modal.
