Looking for Tpt. and Tymp. parts for Franck Psalm 150

    Hello there musikers!
    I am.wondering if any of you have orchestra parts for the Franck Psalm 150.
    I am.looking for the trumpet and tympany parts.

  • Actually, there is something wrong with the trumpet parts on ISMLP. These parts are written for a D Trumpet. The most common standard trumpet that most trumpeters have is a Bb trumpet.

    I beg to disagree with SponsaChristi. Any trumpet player worth hiring is very, very used to transposing at sight. For a trumpeter, playing a part notated for “trumpet in D” on a C or B-flat horn is as common as playing the pedals is for an organist.

    I have also found that trumpeters now are mostly playing C trumpets for classical music.

    I have noticed the trumpet section of my local professional orchestra whom I perform alongside in their chorus tend to bring four or five different trumpets with them.
