Hello I'm jennie, I have started playing guitar recently and I do sing with it. I recorded it with my smartphone, but I got poor quality. I want to record my prayer with my guitar in the best quality possible. It will be highly appreciated if anyone could help me with this. Thank you.
Look for information on "portable audio recorders". Some examples are the Zoom "H1essential" and the TASCAM DR-07XP; these are considered useful for people beginning at making recordings in live settings. I don't happen to own either one, so I can't offer specific recommendations. Other manufacturers include Roland, Sony, and Olympus ("OM System").
Devices like these have their limitations: they often have small microphones and they don't provide recordings that would be considered of professional quality. On the other hand, most of the recordings on CMAA's audio site https://recordings.musicasacra.com were made with portable recorders, so you can listen to some of those to get an impression of what is possible.
You may be able to find demonstrations of particular recorders by searching for their names and model numbers on YouTube.
If you have a device (phone, tablet, laptop) with a microphone or USB input, a decent microphone might be enough. Amazon has them around $30. Be sure the acoustic is soft, no hard echoes. If it's for commercial purposes, you may have to use a studio as domestic environments are too echoey. Your local arts office may be able to recommend subsidised shared facilities for artists.
Where I live our public library has bookable creative media studios with video and audio recording equipment as well as post production editing software that are completely free to book with one’s library card. Perhaps your local public library has something like that as well.
