Hello my friends, fountain of knowledge and wisdom.

I am looking for the chant Christus Vincit, but with English translated words. I can only find Latin. I will do the Latin if necessary, but it would be better received if it was in English.

Does anyone have anything? Or am I on a fool's errand?

(I probably most certainly am on a fool's errand, but at least I can say I tried)

What you’re looking for is best done as To Jesus Christ Our Sovereign King.

The only such version I know of is from the pre-Vatican II St Pius X Hymnal edited by Theodore Marier.

  • Some editions of The Peoples [sic] Mass Book had another version. I lost my copies in "The Great Flood." It was rather popular in the Archdiocese of Portland, where PMB was one of only two hymnal collections authorized for use the the parishes.

    That's just the solemn(ior) tone.
