St. Michael Hymnal 4th Edition free to a good home

    Hi all,

    Our parish recently upgraded from the St. Michael Hymnal 4th Edition to the 5th Edition. We now have around 150 4th Edition pew hymnals and a few choir hymnals in search of a new home. We're happy to give them away free to any parish that could use them. You pay shipping, and they're yours. If anyone's interested, give me a holler!

    I don't think the shipping would be too bad. A box with six copies would weigh a little over 12 pounds, and would cost $13.47 via USPS Media Mail across the country, plus some amount to pay for packing costs.

    Not sure if these hymnals are still available...I am interested, but have been researching online to see if I could buy additional copies of the 4th edition St. Michael hymnal. My parish would need 400 total. It seems that these are non-existent online (or cost $200 each!). Does anyone know of other parishes that might be looking for a new home for their hymnals?

    If I understand right, the fourth edition is no longer reprinted because the copyright holder for some of the hymns is not willing to grant permission to reprint all the hymns they authorized previously.

    Hi all,

    Update: the hymnals have been sent to their new home! Thank you all for the interest in them. We've loved them for 13 years and I'm glad they will be getting continued use!
