Does anyone have access to a public-domain, singable translation of this hymn into Spanish? I know that GIA and WLP have versions published, but they're under copyright.

    Hi Friend—
I spent a couple of years collecting PDFs of any Spanish hymnal that I could find, and I just scanned through them all and couldn't find any text to the Holy Spirit to 8888. There are a number of nice 8787 texts, but that doesn't help.
I'm attaching a PDF here of the Pentecost hymns from one of the only truly useful hymnals I've found to date: Himnario Provisional con Los Cánticos Según el Uso de la Iglesia Episcopal Americana (available on Google books). It's the only true wester-style traditional hymnal that's in Spanish that you can easily track down that I'm aware of. Perhaps one of the other texts might work for you (one goes with Aurelia).

(FWIW, I received a mountain of PDFs from a friend who moved up here from Guadalajara and so far I've come up empty handed in those resources as well.)

Yes, I suspect a suitable Spanish text is more likely to be trochaic rather than iambic.

Here's my stab at a translation. Anyone is welcome to use it or further tweak it—I have no desire for any credit for this translation (I don't love it)... just a fun after-dinner exercise and hopefully inspiration for another to further flesh out.
