Music from Father Augustin-Maria of the thrice blessed Sacrament O.Carm
  • Hey yall

Does anyone have online ressources on the Music of Hermann Cohen, Father Augustin-Mary?
Hes a Servant of God im particularly fond of, but unfortunately the one thing he is famous for, his music, isnt that well documented online. I only found one page extract from a work of his in a Biography and remember a small video snippit of his work on youtube.

Does anyone here happen to have more of his Work?
    If yes, please share!

    Hello,
Here is a link to an Ecce panis angelorum he composed:

He also published a collection of hymns for the Forty Hours devotion, called "Amour à Jésus-Christ" (1851) (from which the Ecce panis above is likely sourced). It looks like you can download the collection from the Museum of Krakow

Father Augustin-Marie is also said to have composed a collection of Marian hymns, "Gloire à Marie", it seems before his entry into the religious life. But I don't have a link for this.
    I hope this is helpful.
  • The very attractive Ece Panis Angelorum cited above seems to be based on a traditional melody from France.

corrected link for the Forty Hours, which are in French
@Quaerens - my apologies, the forum software tries to put in the link without your help, and ends up pointing at itself!
