St Cecilia always creeps up on me too late to put everything together, but this year we're at least in time with the Common of Virgins to be singing Vespers next Wednesday at St David's, if any of you are in North California.

Now I have to think about bookmarks, or maybe reformatting Nacho Alvarez' editions. Here's the first antiphon & Psalm, formatted to fit one page for alternatim use.

Victoria's 4vv Psalms are of course in modes different from the Luciae antiphons, and missing Laetatus sum (I toyed with making an SATB alternatim arr. from his 3 choir, setting, but we'll sing Vaet instead.) What i've ended up doing is using the bbloomf.github.io Psalm Tone Tool to make companion pages, as here for example. So, spoken antiphons.

Interesting to ponder what Victoria had in mind:
    i vi? - vii vi? Victoria a 4
i vii iii viii iv Cecilia antiphons
vii vii viii viii viii Lucia
i i iii i iii Common of virgins
i viii viii vii iii Conceptio BVM
iii vii iii viii viii Purificatio
viii i viii i viii Annuntiatio
vii viii iv vii i Assumptio
