The Gloria of Missa II: Kyrie, fons bonitatis, sung by the Oratory Singers for the Feast of St. Philip Neri, 2023.
This was being sung in a way to invite the congregation to attempt their alternations, but that stands on its own without them, since it is still somewhat new.
This is perhaps my very favorite piece of plainchant. It seems to contain so much of the human heart and raise it to God, and I'm very pleased with how we sang it.
This is my "small group", mostly my section leaders supplemented by a couple of the very high level volunteers. At full strength it is an equal octet. I forget if anyone was missing that day.
My full choir is about 20 strong with balanced sections. Normally I alternate the "choir" part between upper and lower voices when we sing alternatim with the congregation, but this occasion I wanted maximum reinforcement for everyone.
