I served as cantor at the early morning Christmas Day Mass. We did Goss’ “See Amid the Winter’s Snow” as a prelude. Many people asked me where we found that hymn and asked us to use it more during the Christmas season. Noted for next year. Hurd’s Psalm 98 wasn’t my pick, but it was done tastefully. We used to do the Haugen/Haas one but ceased for obvious reasons.

Didn’t attend Midnight Mass this year. The music usually differs a bit due to the choir, but I’m assuming the lineup was nearly identical.
