    This is not an option exposed to us. That is why you occasionally see a post that is simply a period; this is that persons way of editing their comment to, effectively, rescind it.

    well, you can't remove your post, but you can fill it with anything you wish over and over.

    a thread can be closed and/or sunk which will send it into a time capsule at the bottom of the forum archival graveyard.

    E.G.

    The House that Love is Building... has been closed.
