    I know next to nothing about Spanish, but is there any reason for altering the usual Gregorian ending at the first mediation and ending of the doxology? I was under the impression that Spanish's closer similarity to Latin would help to avoid the backflips usually necessary to make these solemn tones fit English texts.

    You're right in suspecting my psalming experience has been rather anglocentric, and I've become quite used to backflips.

    Yes, that's more what I expected to see. But you may have reasons, I was just curious. As I said, I know very little about speaking or singing Spanish
