    Howdy!

    Our Diocese is wrapping up their bicentennial year with a special Votive Mass in honor of Mary, Mother of the Church. Anyone know the Propers assigned to that feast? I can make a few generalizations from the Commons (i.e., Advent/Christmas vs. Ordinary Time) but there are still many options. It is this Sunday, so alacritous assistance is appreciated. :)

    GOD bless you!

    OF.
  • Per Graduale Novum II, 477:

    IN Vultum tuum
    GR Benedicta es tu
    AL Laetatus sum
    OF Recordare mei
    CO Unam petii

    Per The Roman Missal, 1345:

    IN The disciples devoted themselves with one accord to prayer with Mary, the Mother of Jesus. (cf. Acts 1: 14)

    CO A wedding was held in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there;
    then Jesus performed the first of his signs and manifested his glory,
    and his disciples believed in him. (cf. Jn 2: 1, 11)

    Or:

    As he hung upon the cross,
    Jesus said to the disciple whom he loved: behold your mother. (cf. Jn 19: 26-27)

    The Roman Missal contains these propers at p. 1345ff:

    Entrance Antiphon:
    The disciples devoted themselves with one accord to prayer with Mary, the mother of Jesus.

    Communion Antiphon:
    A wedding was held in Cana of Galilee,
    and the mother of Jesus was there;
    then Jesus performed the first of his signs
    and manifested his glory,
    and his disciples believed in him.

    (or:)

    As he hung upon the cross,
    Jesus said to the disciple whom he loved:
    Behold your mother.

    The Latin texts in the 2002 Missale Romanum:

    De beata Maria Ecclesiæ Matre
    Ant. ad introitum Cf. Act 1, 14

    Erant discípuli perseverántes unanímiter
    in oratióne cum María, matre Iesu.

    Ant. ad communionem Cf. Io 2, 1.11
    Núptiæ factæ sunt in Cana Galilǽæ,
    et erat mater Iesu ibi;
    tunc fecit inítium signórum Iesus
    et manifestávit glóriam suam,
    et credidérunt in eum discípuli eius.
    Vel: Cf. Io 19, 26-27
    Ex cruce pendens
    dixit Iesus discípulo, quem diligébat:
    Ecce mater tua.

    Thank you, all! I didn't realize this was initially a Votive Mass elevated to a memorial. I run into the same problem as in past instances of celebrating a Votive or ad diversa Mass: the Missal designations don't match the Graduale. Do they match up in the "Graduale Novum" mentioned in a previous post? I can't find where the chants smvanroode shared are mentioned.

    Ya know, come to think of it, we have a TLM at our parish that will probably be Mary, Mother of the Church as well. So I take that back, Chris. EF propers would be good to know as well.
  • Votive Mass of Mary in the 1962 Roman Missal, from Christmas to Candlemas (there is no specific Votive Mass for Mary, Mother of the Church), p. [44]:

    IN Vultum tuum
    GR Speciosus forma
    AL Post partum, Virga
    OF Felix namque est
    CO Beata viscera
