So an acquaintance here in Brazil who is learning English sent me a link to an English-speaking music group he'd found: the Hillbilly Thomists (a band of Dominicans who play old time mountain music). I was delighted, because my dad used to play this kind of music, so I'm in the kitchen cooking, listening to the playlist on Spotify. In walks my husband, who begins to sing along with one of the songs. To my astonishment HE remembers the songs from church when he was a kid, and still remembers the words. It was quite funny.
