A community based choir which I joined this year is singing the Mozart Requiem. I asked my pastor if he would be interested in having a Mass in the EF with the Mozart Requiem and he thought it was an idea to consider. Everyone has agreed and this will be happening at my church in March. I was going to add a poster, but then I realized that I included names and I'm not sure if I should do that.

At any rate, Casavant Organist will be the accompanist and all of the soloists and the conductor are under 25.
  • Is it organ accompaniment only, then?

Yes, only organ. There is no room for an orchestra. Hopefully the choir will fit in the space.

  • Woo-hoo! Who will the Requiem Mass be for? Or will the Proper be used as offertory/communion/in place of homily?

  • Looking forward to playing for this - never done it in a Mass. I know the priest very well (I worked for him at a previous parish).
  • Wish I could attend,!
