Does anyone know of some nice organ music by Austrian composers other than Mozart?
  • Johann Jakob Froberger!
Froberger was one of the musical luminaries of the XVIIth century.
    His organ-harpsichord music is both
learned for the mind to savour and beautiful for the ear to hear.

Anton Bruckner, renowned for his organ playing, composed a few works for organ, notably of the prelude/postlude/fugue genres. WAB 125, 126/1, 126/2, 127, 128, 131 are available at IMSLP.

Froberger has to be seconded: I always have to stifle a sob at the first A flat of Fantasia vii (vol. 3). Some other organists are Kerll, Poglietti, Muffat, Albrechtsberger, Süssmayr, J. & M. Haydn.

And of course depending on what reasons are behind Beth's seeking an "Austrian Composer", the Viennese Brahms can hardly be overlooked.

The Faber Early Organ Series Volumes 13 and 14 are good anthologies of music from South Germany and Austria.

In addition to the valuable suggestions already made on this topic, there are many gems edited by the Austrian publisher Doblinger, including several volumes of Gottlieb Muffat (not to be confused with his father, the most famous Georg) organ music, and at least one volume that compiles organ pieces from 18th century Austrian composers such as Monn, Pirck, Wagenseil, Steffan, Stary, Seeger and Gottlieb Muffat himself.
