I'm having trouble finding this hymn in the usual books (I do see a thread on Christe qui splendor), or indeed the Liber Vesperalis Mediolanensis. It is familiar to me from Lutheran sources as Christe qui lux es, but Palestrina sets that same text; the edition on CPDL appears to have the even verses out of order.

Have you tried the Analecta Hymnica? I am a few 100 miles away from my Library, so can not do a Proper search, but could do one late August when I am back.

EDIT. AH Vol 51 pg 112? it seems to be in more than one volume!

This is for All Saints, but notice a number of Hymns starting with Christe qui...

Christe, qui virtus sator et vocaris,
    cuius ornatur pietate, quicquid
vel statu claret vel honore pollet,
    suscipe laudes.

    Ecce sollemnis diei voluptas,
    plena sanctorum meritis tuorum,
    corde devotam sociando turbam
    personat hymnos.

    Haec dies Christi genitricis almae
    laude sacratur pariter, precamur
    eius obtentu veniam, petenti
    da, pie, plebi.

    Haec dies festum colit angelorum,
    ut tuam semper faciem videntes
    semper in nostro vigilent favore
    te miserante.

    Et choros ducit sub apostolorum
    turba praeclaro nitidos honore,
per preces quorum meat et loquela
    tuta per hostes.

    Martyres festis veneramur aptis,
    vota confessor capit omnis ista,
    virgines sanctas monachosque claros
    laude sonamus.

    Omnis hoc dignam patriarcha partem,
doctor et vates habet et sacerdos
    gaudio, quorum numerum superna
    scriptio servat.

    Omnium sane pariter tuorum
    festa sanctorum colimus precantes,
hos, tibi qui iam meruere iungi,
    nostra tueri.

    Ut quibus vitae stadium magistris
    curritur, horum precibus beatis
    fulgido caeli gremio locemur
    perpete vita.

    Gloriam sanctae pia Trinitati
    turba praesultet, canat et revolvat,
quae manens regnat Deus unus omni
    tempore saecli.

A number of ms are found on Cantus:
    http://cantus.uwaterloo.ca/search?op=starts&t=Christe+qui&genre=139&cid=&mode=&feast=&volpiano=All

    Only DK-Kk 3449 8o [04] IV 075v seems to have a version of Palestrina's tune.

Coverage of the Office has much increased at Gregobase and I suppose I should have started there. There are 7 tunes from Liber Hymnarius (Solesmes, 1983) for Christe qui splendor (Urban's? revision of the hymn) and 2 more for Christe qui lux. This hasn't gotten me closer to Palestrina's source, though.
