Organ Piece Suggestions

    Hello everyone,

    I am looking for suggestions for a somewhat simple (perhaps the equivalent of beginning intermediate level) organ piece to play as an Easter Sunday Postlude. Ideally it would be in F, C, or G major but really it could be anything. I can pick up easier pieces quickly enough; I only have the next three or four days to practice as I will be without organ access during the Triduum. I am not looking for a flashy, fast, impressive piece; just somewhat short (1-2 minutes, maybe), with a somewhat majestic-sounding, Baroque-ish piece. A link to the PDF score would be helpful, though if it is on imslp or whatever I can find easily myself.

    I was hoping any organ aficionados (sp?) on here might have suggestions! My repertoire is not large enough to know anything off the top of my head, and I have been almost completely out of organ-playing since 2016 - I just want to provide a little organ music at this little Easter Sunday sung (traditional) Mass which is happening at my parish.

    Perhaps a trumpet voluntary by John Stanley?

    I don't think this is what you have in mind since it borders on "flashy", but I used this Toccata on Victimae paschali laudes last year... it's really accessible!

    Chaconne in F major by G. F. Handel is manuals only and is available on IMSLP. It is about four minutes in duration, rather cheerful as opposed to flashy, and not difficult. I am using it as prelude at 8am Mass and with strings during a half-hour prelude to 10:30am Mass.

    Bach's Christ Lag in Todesbanden from the Orgelbuchlein is very accessible and easy to learn. I think I learned it on one day before a service just because I neede something. Short, sweet, but very festive.

    It's in C major, just manuals, and I'll be playing really slowly, but I think it's maximising my potential for flashiness at this stage.
