3 part mass?

Does anybody have any suggestions of a simple 3-part mass in Latin which would be suitable for Midnight Mass, other than Byrd a 3? I have three professional singers but very limited rehearsal time. Thanks in advance.

I'm using Lotti's ATB Messe a Tre Voci for Midnight Mass. Pretty simple, very nice. No Credo, though.

    Score here: https://www.cpdl.org/wiki/images/c/ca/Lotti-messa.pdf

This worked well for my choir and I think it's very easy to pick up quickly. It also has no Credo.

I've attached a mass I wrote for SABar which you are welcome to use.

    More ideas here.

I personally love Missa Secunda, by Michael Haller! Happy practicing!

I was going to suggest the Haller, too ... it's also available at CPDL in a very nice edition by Douglas Walczak. Note, however, that the Agnus Dei II is in four parts (SATB).

@CHGiffen - That would save time transcribing the score! Would you be willing to post the link for that edition? Thanks!

    Haller: Missa Secunda, Op. 5

I'm also transposing the Lotti A-minor Mass from TTB to MzAT, but I have to go to lunch now ... will post it this afternoon.

Yikes, the Lotti A-minor Mass has much of the text of the Gloria, Sanctus, and Agnus Dei excised and is therefore likely unsuitable. The Kyrie and Credo are fully texted.

Yes, I've used the A-Minor in the past. It requires some clever alternatim chant bits to meet liturgical requirements. If I can find my score, I'll let you know how I've done it in the past. Fortunately, the D Major Lotti Mass has complete texts.

Found it! Here's the quick & ugly edit I threw together for an event last spring. It's only the Sanctus and Agnus Dei... I didn't do the Gloria. The Kyrie is good as written. (N.B. ignore the tempo marking at the beginning of the Sanctus... that was just to get midi playback at a particular speed for practice tracks; forgot to take it out)

From a quick glance at the Gloria, it also appears to be written for alternatim singing. Perhaps you can find a fitting chant Gloria to alternate with.

Maybe a bit late for this request, but we have sung the following both as a concert piece and liturgically. Very few areas of difficulty & both singers and listeners appreciated it. - https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/missa-brevis-a-tre-voce-digital-sheet-music/20229298?narrow_by=missa
