    I don't do postludes during Advent.

    While preparing for the next mass, the pastor came to the loft and said snowfall had increased and the roads were getting bad so we should get out of there before it got worse. So we slipped and slid through the parking lot, I fell while cleaning snow from the car windows, then I slowly made it home. Fortunately, traffic was light because stopping distances were long. A memorable 2nd Sunday of Advent.

    Nasty weather and as many in pews as in choir. Our priest intentionally waltzed to the entrance hymn. I just rolled my eyes. Not sure some folks liked it. Nothing I can do about it.

    Since I had a concert this afternoon, I opted to stop in at the local Orthodox church where one of my fellow concert tenors is cantor. Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, in four-part harmony. I was running on two hours of sleep at that point but it was still delightful.

    No music at Mass yesterday for me. I had a 3pm concert with an 11:45 call (since the TBs didn't have time to run their repertoire at the dress rehearsal on Friday). I served at a Low Mass (just me serving and the priest who sped through Mass) at St. Vincent de Paul on Roncesvalles. Sometimes there's a simple majesty to Low Mass which can be lost in all the excitement at High Mass.
