Just remade my website for rosaries.

Is it really the world’s finest rosary?

They are surely very handsome and appealing. And if used would of course be TWFR(TM).

If I may make a suggestion for the folks (often but not necessarily elderly) with neuropathy or macular degeneration: you might try a version with stones that are suited to a more tactile / less smooth polish, as it were, to be more easily felt by folks with addled fingers/eyesight. (It was one of the desiderata for my late mother's many iterations of rosaries in her last decade.)

This reminds me to repair the link in my rosary in my little rosary bag that I discovered on Sunday (fortunately, I always have a spare - never know when you might invite someone to join you or offer a spare to one without), but the broken link is the olivewood one I prefer to finger.

  • Very impressive Francis.

After reading "Beads can be made of many materials . . . but the usual types I use are: Wood, Gemstone, Bone, Sterling Silver and 14K Gold," I did not find any wood beads among your pictured offerings. Did I miss something?

If you are concerned about them breaking, I have been making these for 28 years with a lifetime guarantee (this is how confident I am about my craft) and not one of them has returned to this day for repairs. However, it is not the breakable aspect that makes it the “finest” rosary, it is the choice of materials and painstaking effort and craftsmanship with the added bonus of it being guaranteed for life.

When one finally comes back broken I will gladly fix it!

Over three decades you can imagine that I have made rosaries out of all kinds of materials. Whatever you specify or is of your interest is what I can make. By the way, I have also re-strung peoples favorite rosary so that they never break again. If you click the link “worlds finest rosary” and you see the part about jump rings, and why I don’t use them, but instead locked bows, that one element almost guarantees that it will not break. If you send your olive bead rosary over I will restring it for you.

I have a slew more photos to post with all the other types of beads in fact which I took yesterday. Will attach some here. These are cocoa bead, quartz and water buffalo horn.

These are much less as I used cords for these, but I have made numerous cocoa bead/sterling wire rosaries over the years.

Thank you kindly. I would imagine natural horn is a wonderful material to feel, different from wood, but it's own tactile distinctiveness.

I can appreciate that, Francis. It was a light-hearted joke.

    Almost ALL rosaries fall into the category of Walmart quality. (Or lack thereof) THIS is a work of ART that is pragmatic AND aesthetic at the same time. (The same is true with my hand made crotalus and crucifix) found here;

    And here:

not to mention my musical compositions of sacred music

A FineRosary is of the same quality of typical jewelry that people buy EVERY day without thinking twice about the monetary cost. They are willing to buy it for themselves for their appearance. Are we willing to invest in a rosary for the sake of Our Lady’s request to “pray the rosary every day” and to show Our Lady’s True Beauty and Power in the efficacy of her simple chain of beads that will crush the head of the serpent in the end? He (satan) is absolutely HUMILIATED that this iconic “chain” is what, will in the end, bind him up for eternal fire.
And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.

And he cast him into the bottomless pit and shut him up and set a seal upon him, that he should no more seduce the nations till the thousand years be finished. And after that, he must be loosed a little time. Revelation 20:1-3

A very small percentage of Catholics purchase my hand-crafted rosaries. We live in a time of a new iconoclasm. Today, people subscribe to pornograghy instead of iconography. FineRosary is an investment in the latter. It speaks to investing in the reality of Truth, Beauty and Goodness and truly this is no joking matter.

    Francis,

I stumbled upon your website a year or so ago. All your rosaries are very lovely. I'm saving up to buy one (after I get all those chant books I don't yet have!)

I've thought of another quirky name for a chant group a la The Suspicious Cheese Lords:

    Clemens and the Tater-Nots.

P.S. Francis, I'm saving up for one of your rosaries.
