    GIRM 52 says that "the people and the choir or cantor" usually take part in the Kyrie. That's as precise as it gets ;-)

    Thanks, RC, I found another thread in MSF in which SVanR pointed out the incredibly nebulous "another minister" allowance for the tropes. Argggh.
