Is anyone on the forum from the diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau, Mo.? If so, I want to let you know that your bishop-elect, Father James Vann Johnston Jr., appreciates excellent liturgical music. He is currently chancellor and moderator of the curia for the Diocese of Knoxville as well as a pastor. A delightful, highly intelligent, and 100 percent orthodox young (48 years old) priest. We are very sorry to lose him.

That's where my folks live. I moved away years ago, but perhaps when I visit on holidays, I'll find a better musical atmosphere there. The cathedral in Springfield is a nice 1920s structure. Perfect for chanting.
