The Daughters of Mary sing the wonderful hymn Ave maris stella to tune unknown to me (alternating with the Gregorian melody). Do you know the origin of this tune?

Not sure but the recording comes from a sede vacantist group. I'm sure they would be
happy to tell you, were you to send a message to the convent.

What a fantastic tune!
I just wrote to the sisters and they told me it's by Carlo Rossini. Hymn #99 from his book "Exaltate Deum." The original is SATB, if you'll believe it.
